Initial Interview in November
Credential Evaluations and Submission of Required Documents
You will need to have your transcript evaluated in order to apply for your teaching license in the US. We recommend The Evaluation Company (formerly Spantran) but will accept any other NACES Member evaluator.
Interview by School District/Job Placement in Jan/Feb
Licensing/Visa Processing/US Embassy Interview in March to May
Pre-Arrival Orientation in June-July
Arrival in the United States
Post-Arrival Orientation with Philippine Consul, School District and Washington DC Labor Attache
What ARE YOur FeeS?
School districts are not charged any fees to employ our teachers.
J1 Visa Service Fees for Teachers -
No Application Fee
Placement Fee - 6% of Projected Annual Salary or $3,800 whichever is lower
Optional Fees for Housing Location Assistance, Utilities Startup and Phone Startup, Cultural Adaptation Assistance.

how much would it cost to live in the us?
On average, our teachers pay the following monthly expenses to live in the US.
Rent, if sharing with housemates, can cost between $500 to $750; otherwise can be up to $ 1,800
Gas, electric, internet If sharing with roommates: $80 to $120
Phone: up to $85
Transportation: $120 to $300
Food: $500 to $700
